This study has been generously funded by the National Science Foundation through DUE-1244786 (Oct 2013 to Sep 2016, amount awarded: $199,544, program officer: R. Corby Hovis), and by Harvey Mudd College. The 2016 conference was also funded in part  by a planning grant from the Mellon Foundation for a Center for Pedagogy and Educational Technology at the Claremont Colleges.

This multi-year study has involved instructors teaching concurrent treatment and control sections of the same class, multiple times.
